Court Hearings
interlanguage supplies legal interpreters for Court hearings involving participants who are not Italian speakers or whose knowledge of the language is not sufficient to enable them to communicate effectively with the Court.
“Participants” may be the accused and witnesses in criminal cases, or the parties and witnesses in civil proceedings.
The service provided must be extremely accurate: translations must be faithful and neutral, without omissions, additions, or inaccuracies, and in strict compliance with the language register utilised - whether the elaborate language of legal professionals or the slang or even dialect expressions used by the parties or witnesses.
The interpreter must have a good knowledge of the Italian legal system and that of the country where the working language is spoken, excellent hearing, the ability to work under pressure and a highly developed sense of responsibility.
The interpreter must work with absolute impartiality and confidentiality, always aware of the potential consequences of any errors in translation.
For the submission and drafting of the minutes of court proceedings, interlanguage also supplies a foreign language electronic stenotyping service.
Our interpretation service is certified in compliance with Italian industry standard UNI 10574:2007.
