interlanguage has sponsored the Proz.com Conference (http://www.proz.com/conference/58) which was held on 17th and 18th October 2008 at the Bologna University School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators, in Forlì.

The conference, organised by www.proz.com, the world’s largest platform for translation professionals, took as its theme “Legal, Economic and Financial Translation” and was open to translators, interpreters and all those interested in specialist translation in these sectors. The aim was to investigate the most theoretical aspects of language in the legal, economic, and financial sectors, covering topics relating to translation, linguistic styles and terminology in these fields. There were also be workshops with practical exercises, led by language teachers and/or jurists specialising in the sector.
